To Raise A Tower:

How do I build?

To lay down ownership of our own lives, to take up our crosses, to renounce all that we have, all these things find their life in obedience. Obedience is the very heart of what it means to give our lives to Jesus. Obedience is the very blood of the life that he gave for us and promises to give to us and through us. And that’s what it is to raise a tower. To submit everything we are to him to build with him the life and kingdom of God. It is the cost that is also the prize. An act of submission to death that brings true and eternal life.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”

—John 14:15-17
